The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) aims to record the height and weight of all children in Reception Year and Year 6 in England. It is a statutory duty. The programme is well established, with the checks carried out by trained health care professionals from the 0-19 Public Health Integrated Nursing Service (PHINS) provided by NHS Leeds Community Healthcare.
